Advanced Features for All Games
Our General Gaming dice roller is designed for versatility across all tabletop games - board games, card games, RPGs, wargames, and more.
How to Use:
- Navigate to the General Gaming page.
- Select your desired die types by clicking on the dice images (you can add multiple dice).

Dice Combinations:
You can create complex dice pools by adding multiple dice types at once. For example:
- 2d6 + 1d8 (two six-sided dice plus one eight-sided die)
- 4d10 + 3 (four ten-sided dice plus a modifier of 3)
- 1d4 + 2d6 + 1d20 + 5 (mixed dice pool with a modifier)
D&D Mode Features
The D&D Mode is specially designed for Dungeons & Dragons gameplay, offering more complex rolling options.
How to Use:
- Navigate to the D&D page.
- Enter the quantity for each die type you want to roll (d4, d6, d8, d10, d12, d20, d100).
- Add a modifier value if needed (positive or negative number).
- Select a roll type:
- Normal: Standard dice roll
- Advantage (Adv.): Roll d20 twice and take the higher value
- Disadvantage (Disadv.): Roll d20 twice and take the lower value
- Add an optional description for your roll (e.g., "Attack Roll", "Stealth Check", "Fireball Damage").
- Click the Roll Dice button.
Understanding Advantage and Disadvantage:
Advantage and disadvantage only apply when rolling a single d20. The system will roll the d20 twice and automatically select the higher result for advantage or the lower result for disadvantage.
Ability Score Roller:
The D&D mode also includes a special Ability Score Roller for character creation:
- Click the Show Ability Score Roller button in the left column.
- Click Roll Ability Scores to generate six ability scores using the 4d6 drop lowest method.
- Adjust each score with modifiers as needed for racial bonuses or other adjustments.
- See the full details of each roll, including which die was dropped.

DiceRoller.AI automatically saves your dice rolling history in a session that persists for 30 days.
How to Access Session Controls:

- The session URL will be copied to your clipboard.

- The dice combination and modifiers
- The final result
- A breakdown of individual dice rolls
- The time of the roll

Session Duration:
Your session data is stored for 30 days, after which it is automatically deleted. If you want to preserve your rolls longer, consider keeping the session URL or taking a screenshot.
